Note 1 to entry: An ITS-SU service refers to the services provided by realizations of ITS-S application processes while an ITS-S service refers to the communication services that these processes use to communicate to other nodes.
History note: 2025: Revised from ITS-S service to ITS-SU service to prevent conflict with ISO 21217 definitions. Revised the definition to clarify and added note to entry.
